JURISPRUDENŢA CURŢII DE JUSTIŢIE A UNIUNII EUROPENE
Abstract
As the General Court is primarily a first instance jurisdiction, the procedural framework before it comprises two opposing parties. Indeed, the proceedings before the General Court have an adversial nature.
However, the initial procedural framework established between the main parties may be enlarged by the intervention of third parties. The intervention of third parties shall be limited to supporting, in whole or in part, the form of order sought by one of the main parties.
The conditions governing the admissibility of the intervention of third parties and the procedure for examining the admissibility of the application to intervene in the proceedings before the General Court as governed by the Statute of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Rules of Procedure of the General Court are set out in this article.
