Abstract

Regardless of the investment objective for which the expropriation is ordered, the entire procedure starts from the constitutional principle according to which the transfer of a building from the private property of individuals to the public property can be done only if the individual property right is respected, which implies that the expropriated is granted the right to receive a fair, prior and equitable compensation, within a reasonable time.
